It’s a new year so I figured it’d be a good time to share a new (to the channel) hobby! This is my third year keeping a bullet journal and it’s been a huge help in organizing my life. This video is broken into three parts. In part one, I walk through some pages in my 2020 journal, part two I set up the front section of my 2021 journal and part three I put together my January pages. There are a lot of different ways you can use a bullet journal, but mine is mostly utilitarian as a planner. While there are a lot of people out there producing really beautiful, artsy bullet journals, mine is definitely not that.
If you’re not familiar with bullet journaling, you can read about it here, but basically it’s a methodology for organizing a planner/journal. It’s super flexible, which is what I really love about using it for my planner.
I’ve never been good about keeping up with regular calendars and planners. Usually I hit about the month of February and I’ve abandoned whatever planner I started using at the beginning of the year. I just tend to feel stuck with using the same structure every single month and it limits my desire to actually use it. What’s great about using a bullet journal is that I get to design my own page layouts based on what’s happening in my life and how I’m currently using it.
Bullet journaling has also been a real great way to organize things in my life beyond just my calendar. I incorporate project tracking, bills and more. Give the video a watch to see a full look at my setup.
